About singer

Elzara Batalova, Honored Artist of Ukraine and the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.

She was born in Belogorsk (Crimea) in 1979. Since her early childhood, she loved to sing, and this hobby led her to the big stage.

In 1988 Elzara Batalova won the first prize in the all-union contest for young performers (Evpatoria). This was the first appearance on the professional stage and the first shooting in Elzara’s life.

In 1989 she won the Crimean television contest "Crimean Pearl".

In 1990 Crimean Television released the musical film "Elzara Batalova sings".

In 1991 Crimean television released the feature-musical film "Elzara".

In 1992 Elzara traveled to the USA, where she studied at the Salem School of Arts.

From 1994 to 1998, the singer annually participated in the all-Ukrainian Festival "Song Vernissage".

In 1995 the singer received the Grand Prix at Veselad international competition in Kyiv and in the same year - the Grand Prix of the all-Ukrainian competition "Your star" in Ternopil.

In 1996 Elzara became a laureate of the international television contest "Yalta-96".

From 1994 to 1997, she studied at Kyiv State Academy of Variety and Circus Arts, specializing in pop vocals.

In 1997 she won the first prize at the international competition "Crimean Stars".

In 2000 she graduated from Kyiv State University of Theater, Cinema and Television named after Karpenko-Kary with a degree in drama and film acting.

In the same year, Elzara participated in the contest of the United Europe "Zielona Gora 2000" in Poland.

Since June 2002, the singer worked as a vocalist of the highest category in the Academic Song and Dance Ensemble of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine in Kyiv.

In 2004 Elzara Batalova played the leading part in the feature film "Tatar triptych".

From June 2006 to October 2008, she was an advisor on cultural issues to the speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Crimea.

From October 2008 to April 2010, she worked in the Verkhovna Rada of the ARC as a deputy director of the service of the Head of the Verkhovna Rada of the ARC.

From September 2012 to 2017, she worked as the host of "Aji biber" (Bitter pepper) program on the first Crimean Tatar TV channel ATR. And in February 2016, Elzara Batalova became the editor-in-chief of the Crimean Tatar radio "Meidan".

In 2017 the actress starred in the feature film "Tonya and Tony".

In 2019 Elzara Batalova played the leading female part in the feature film "Bowling Alley", and a supporting role in the film "Startupers".

The career of the actress also includes: the leading part in the musical "Cinderella" which was nominated for the "Pectoral" award, participation in the musical performance "Kupala" by La-MaMa Theater in New York, work as a member of the jury of all-Ukrainian and international contests ...

Currently, she lives in Kyiv. In addition to artistic work, the artist teaches singing and runs a YouTube channel.
