Biography - Elvira Usmanova
Elvira Usmanova is a Crimean Tatar designer.
She was born in Tashkent (Uzbekistan) in 1985.
In 1991 the family returned to Crimea and settled in the city of Bakhchisarai.
As a child, she attended an art school, a school of aesthetic education and a dance school. She graduated from musical school, specialty - piano.
In 2007 she completed a degree in Oriental Studies at Vernadsky Tavrichesky National University.
In the same year, Elvira Usmanova moved to Kyiv. She plunged into creative work: she did a course on fashion design, where she studied the history of fashion. For a long time, Elvira Usmanova worked as an assistant to a Ukrainian designer, which enabled her to gain a lot of practical experience in the design of clothes and accessories.
In 2015 she founded her own brand. During this period, different custom-make designs (exclusive designs) were created, several collections were sewn.
Elvira Usmanova has created an exclusive jewelry set "Garnet" made of silver, covered with enamel and stones.
The designer shares her thoughts about the motherland: “Crimea is a place of power for me. I love to sit for hours by the sea and mentally communicate with it. Crimea is my source of inspiration. These are my roots. Crimean Tatar culture has a rich history. As a fashion designer, it was more interesting for me to study clothes, shoes and accessories. I pay special attention to ornaments and their meaning”.
At the moment, Elvira Usmanova lives and works in Kyiv.
