About musician

Ruslan Chir-Chir was born in 1978 in the city of Tashkent, in a family of musicians. The love for music was instilled by grandfather Eskender Chir-Chir, a famous Crimean Tatar musician.

At the age of 9, Ruslan entered Tashkent specialized school for musically gifted children. During his studies, Ruslan Chir-Chir became a prizewinner of republican and international contests in Central Asia, Kazakhstan and Czechoslovakia.

In 1994, the young musician toured around Europe for the first time.

After finishing school in 1995, the musician entered Tashkent State Conservatory. In 2000, he completed a postgraduate course, and in 2002 – a doctoral one.

Having become a professional musician, Ruslan Chir-Chir toured around France, Germany and other European countries. He masterfully plays wind instruments. He is called the "Golden Saxophone of Uzbekistan".

In 2016, Ruslan Chir-Chir returned to his historical homeland in Crimea.

Ruslan fruitfully collaborates with other musicians, makes author's music, soundtracks for films. Crimean Tatar music occupies a special place in his work. The musician also gives lessons on playing the duduk, kavala, zurna, clarinet, saxophone. The virtuoso plans to open a Crimean Tatar musical art center.

Currently, Ruslan Chir-Chir lives in the city of Simferopol.
