About musician
Shevket Zmorka was born on December 17, 1977, in the village of Gornoye, Sary-Agach district, Chimkent region, in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
From 1987 to 1992, he studied at a children's music school in the town of Kamplanbek, Sary-Agach district, Chimkent region, in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In 1998 he graduated from the Crimean College of Culture in Simferopol, Crimea.
In 2013 he graduated from Crimean University of Culture, Arts and Tourism in Simferopol, Crimea.
From 1996 to 2002, Shevket Zmorka worked as a concertmaster and teacher at the Crimean College of Culture. From 2002 to 2004, he was a soloist of Crimean Regional Philharmonic. Since 2002, the musician has been actively performing concerts on different continents.
From 2004 to 2009, the instrumentalist worked in Qatar and Egypt as a soloist and as part of a trio, and from 2009 to 2014 - as a concertmaster at Crimean University of Culture, Arts and Tourism.
Since 2014, the musician has been performing in Ukraine both solo and as part of the groups: "Vasya Club", "Grozovska Band", "Shablya", "Urban Gypsy", duos "Jan Duo", "Marinita". Shevket Zmorka also performs with the People's Artist of Ukraine, actor Alexei Gorbunov, with the singer Jamala, with Ruslan Kvinta and Sofia Rotaru. He collaborates with other Ukrainian artists and musicians.
In 2010 Shevket Zmorka was recognized as the best instrumentalist of Crimea. He regularly participates in TV projects, festivals, concerts on the territory of Ukraine and abroad.
In 2011 he took part in a concert at the Moscow House of Music, Moscow,
in 2011-2012 - in concerts in Ankara, Istanbul and Izmir (Turkey),
in 2015 - in a concert at Rotes Rathaus in Berlin,
in 2015-2017 - in a concert at the Council of Europe in Strasbourg.
In his creative career, there were also a number of performances at government-level events in Kyiv, Vilnius (Lithuania), Prague (Czech Republic), Doha (Qatar).
The instrumentalist works in the following genres: classical music, folk, Balkan folk-jazz, oriental music, music of contemporary composers.
At the moment, he works and lives in Kyiv, Ukraine.
